Indianapolis Area Teachers and Staff Make a Difference Jeanne Bassett Brown and her friends at the Hamilton Southeastern School District hosted a fabulous Passionately Pink Day in October. Teachers and staff joined together to celebrate the day, wear jeans and raise money for the Sharon L. Bassett Foundation.  Thanks to all of the "passionately pink" educators!  
 
Life is a Gift Sandy Huston, Linda Sanders, and close friends hosted the 1st Annual celebration honoring those who have faced the challenge of breast cancer. The event was held at The Sanctuary in Zionsville on September 27, 2008. This year's event, "Sophie's Waltz", was named in memory of Sophie Carmichael an inspiring woman from Zionsville.
 
Helping Her Heal Fund The Helping Her Heal Fund recently became a part of the Sharon L. Bassett Foundation’s ever growing circle of friends. Helping Her Heal, an outstanding organization created to “help women suffering from female cancers through grants and emotional support”, graciously selected the Sharon L. Bassett Foundation as a grant award winner.   We also want to say thanks to our longtime friend Donna Chandler, our new friend Sue Weaver, and the entire leadership team of Helping Her Heal.
 
We LOVE These Girls! The Triton Central High School girls’ basketball team is as amazing on the court as they are off the court.  The girls raised over $7,500 for the Sharon L. Bassett Foundation during one of their home games. The team hosted their second annual “Pink Out” where thousands of fans, all wearing pink, came to support the teams’ effort. SLBF Holiday Season & A Few Friends Give to Families We celebrated one of Sharon's favorite holidays with a bang this year.  Local families living with breast cancer had some great elves to make their holiday season “just a little easier.” Six women and their families were helped this year.  When we say helped, this is “what it’s all about.”  Toys for the kids and grandkids, clothes, much needed coats, hats, scarves new bedding and of course something special for the mom “who..

Triton Central Donation A Huge thanks to Coach Bryan Graham, Connie Larkey and the Triton Central Girls Basketball Team for holding their 2nd annual Pink Out Game and donating all proceeds to the SLBF. This was another amazing event!
